Side of a ditch in Hillsboro

Salty old photo guys love films like Tri-X and Ilford HP5. They have “great range” and “pretty grain.” The guy at Citizens, when I told him I’d been shooting a lot of Acros, scoffed and rolled his eyes. I was buying some HP5, figuring it couldn’t hurt to give it a shot. “You’ll like this a lot better,” he patronized as he rung me up. And I’ll tell you—it’s not too bad, if you like muddled grey flat images with little detail. (see previous post)
