Beggar's Banquet

Weird walk this one day, alone and down on the river in places that hadn't seemed to be traversed often. Spooky ones to come.

couples gone wild ha ha ha

These two: so amazing

These two: highway to the danger zone

We made this bong picture, late in the night. Coloring! It was super fun.

And then

Really weird shot this

Quick man room update and more camping

Man room update! See the far left window in this picture? It is now covered with an American Flag! Now with 200% more patriotism and 1/4 more freedom!!

This is Bud. Bud was eminently likable and he had the most amazing gear bag. He had like 20 lenses in there, and you see that tripod? That thing was looking nice. Bud was also just a fountain of knowledge. I feel like he has a web presence, but I don't seem to have an address. Try "Bud photography Fairbanks, AK, Aurora." The google: I just found out Bud's last name! Full name: Bud Kuenzli! He's got some amazing shots out there. Oh, and his Web user name is Santa! At one time, Mike (also present on the trip) was calling Bud "Santa," and I was all, "wow, that's kind of weird." But Bud is all about his Santaness. GO BUD GO!!

I don't know Brihghet's last name, but here she is with her mother. Family camping! It's different when it's not your family.

Mr. Wilson, a truly wonderful man.

for my friend Dan on his birthday, a collection of pictures from the past few weeks, with little to no commentary.

This one is very reminiscent of the college days: hugging, mugging, eyes closed, unidentifiable beverage, swaying. Very very reminiscent of the basement of the house on Kelly St. On a scale of 1-10, please rate your ambivalence regarding the preceding statement.

Things end, as they do, at the bar. But up in the clouds.

faux fan site

pretty handsome couple these two. Some day I'll do a Brigghett fan-site, if I get enough material (photo and otherwise [testimonial])

11,234, I believe.

A stroll in the woods.

End of the road, and that ice is retreating.

you can bowl over than mountain with this machine.

Here is the source of the Sandy River, high above the timber line.

Super views, all around

We went camping with lot's of adults-- Dan's dad, his friend, an old man named Bud with a large beard who I think was a professional photographer, Bridhget's Mom, and her Boyfriend named Mike, who owned an enormous travel trailer. Jake and I were really getting after Bud for being someone who used digital cameras, but that's just because neither Jake nor I do anything that actually matters photographically (no one pays us to do anything, and no one cares really if they don't come out or if they do, and no one needs anything on any schedule whatsoever, so we can be so privileged so as to use a technology that isn't really practical or even good most the time. We're film nerds!! What can you say?) The camping was really jovial and super fun though. Everyone had tons of stories to tell and we told them, we had great great food-- steaks, shrimp, chicken, salmon, and maybe some vegetables. Mostly steak though. Jake got tackled into the shrimp cocktail sauce-- his whole head got totally drenched.

Some Ansely Adams action, but with really poor exposure. Next time I'd probably set the shadow area to zone 2 rather than what looks now like zone 4. Probably at about exposure value 14 or so. Man, I should really read The Negative. JARGON! Also, PROFILE!!!

Another where I accidentally hit the button: Is this going to be a pandemic now? Thanks Wilson's and Brieghetts! Hey, that's my leg and foot!!!! Over-all, the camping trip was totally great!

Sauvie Island pt IV

Love this one

This is not at all as I visualized.

Very very pretty night that night

Sauvie Island pt III

The top one was much more vivid in person, and the below fired by accident. I think my elbow hit the button or something.
