oh my god look at this crater

The astronauts trained here because the landscape was very lunar. Shortly after this picture was taken, I BASE jumped into the crater. I was all, "what's astronauts and scientists. Wanna place chess or scrabble or something?"
some canyon

actually, a pretty good joke is to say to some Germans, "what's this place called again?" Or "My, this is certainly a great canyon."

still out in the SW, AZ or NM maybe

Maybe at the grand canyon. You know, if you go to the first entry ever on this web-site, it's also from this trip. I'm so non-linear.

old projects
Austin Santabenez not launching in the air
Mac and Jack. This was like the finale for one of my favorite projects. The preceding picture was jack hitting his wall with a hammer. It had a caption that said something like "you hang out with weird art mogul millionaires, and they hammer holes in the wall because there's a hammer." or something like that. I had hand printed them (these are straight scans from the negative) and the out of focus, blown out face I was particularly fond of.

on the mission. Austin Santabenez, Spring Break! This is one of the best skateboarding pictures I've ever taken. Also a Charlie Brown's Dad's website premier: Black and White!
My old crib
When I lived alone, well, I just took a lot of pictures of my apartment with old disposable cameras laying around. There wasn't really a lot going on there for a while. I remember going through rolls and rolls and rolls of film taking pictures of hot dogs, salads I made, and how dirty everything was. Nowadays I at least try to go on some kind of adventure to take pictures. Maybe these were just from winter time or something.

from the crypt
I moved this weekend, and found loads of old picture cd's. These are pictures of "Then New Assholes," a band comprised of old dudes who worked/lurked at Dots, my old place of employment. They played at Dunes sometime maybe a few winters ago. All my bosses were there. Those Dots people seriously knew how to party! Well, for old people anyways.
This is Mark. He was (is?) a prep cook at Dots. (no apostrophe). He is a shredder at lead guitaring.
This is Steve Wilson (same exact name as Dan's dad). He is the most depressed dude ever. He'd come in every night and pound his drink of the moment. Have like 4-10 every night. For a while they were Monopolova Greyhounds, there were beer days, etc. He was severely OCD, and grumpy. You'd ask him, "how's it goin', Steve," and he'd say "shitty." Really deadpan dude. He came alive on stage though. There was this one lyric, I don't really remember it, something about like, "eat my dump" or something. He became this huge narcissist on stage. It was pretty funny. He was a real performer.

formal camping
Formal camping was a blast. It felt like a time machine and we were playing croquet in someone's backyard and everyone just had class anyways.
